Hi, my name is Becca and this is my small corner(: Welcome! I am 21 years old, married and momma to Aubrey Jade! This is my home, my space, and I lay my heart here. Please, treat it with respect and enjoy it! I write poetry, prose, short stories, novels, etc, etc, but this place is also full of my life, pieces of my marriage, my dreams, and so many other things. I am a writer and this is where I bleed. Joey and I are young but in love and have been since we were 12... We have one dog (Aidan) a pitbull/lab mix and a baby girl born on December 19th, 2012. I share pretty much every piece of our journey here, with all of you and I hope that you still find my blog, lovable (though chaotic at some points.) I love to talk and make friends so, please come by and say hello. I have a bachelors in creative writing with a concentration in fiction. I graduated on March 5, 2012 (which also happens to be my husband's birthday!) So, enough about me... Drop by, read, listen, explore, and enjoy!
Our daughter, Aubrey Jade, is/will be:
- Breastfed until 2yearsold (or longer depending on the situation then)
- Starting BLW when she starts to show an interest in foods (no pressure.)
- Drinking organic juices that are watered down after the age of 12 months
- Eating organic
- Raised as a vegetarian
- Using biodegradable & cloth insert G Diapers along with biodegradble wipes.
- Co-sleeping/bed sharing
- Homeschooled (starting preschool at the age of 2)
We will be practicing our own modified version of attachment parenting. We will be using gentle disicpline and we (both) will be baby wearing :) Daddy uses an organic Ergo and mommy uses a girasol wrap. We also use a stroller sometimes :) We do not believe in the CIO method and instead believe that we should comfort baby before she even starts crying by reading cues. We don't believe in spanking. We don't believe in RIC. We will not be piercing Aubrey's ears until she personally asks for it to be done. We will be practicing EC on and off. We support early sign language and will be teaching Aubrey signs. Daddy bottle feeds Aubrey on occasion for bonding :) but otherwise she is exclusively breastfed. We will be buying mostly wood toys/eco friendly toys for her and trying to keep our household as green as possible. We don't bathe Aubrey everyday (about once a week) and we stay away from chemicals/medicines for diaper rash, etc and instead use coconut oil. Aubrey is not on a schedule, feeding, sleeping, etc is all done on demand.

DO NOT REBLOG MY PERSONAL PHOTOS. Do not reblog pictures of me, my husband, my daughter, or my dog. Everything on this blog that comes from me is copy righted.
UGH. First I have to deal with lice while pregnant and now I have to deal with TICKS REALLY!? There were a bunch of them in Aidan’s room (on the walls and crap) and now Im going through my house like a crazy person washing everything, spraying the furniture, giving Aidan a bath, putting medicine on him. I AM SO TIRED.
Can we just be done with bugs? Okay? Please?
